Brudt lys / Refraction of light
A duo exhibition by Femja Haack and Ditte Johanne Krogh Bertelsen.
The works are based on each of our different practices and how we can span thematically, visually, and aesthetically as a whole.
Furthermore the exhibition explores graphics as a medium and how it can be used to create large scale works and spacious works of art that is in direct dialogue with the space that surrounds it.
The pieces are created with the idea of making art pieces that have a volume but at the same time easily can be transported and be space efficient in a packaged version so that the works can travel from space to space and take on new forms and shapes.
Ditte Johanne Krogh Bertelsen has created a 7x2 meter blue work consisting of 393 individual pieces. The motif is created out of images from her archive that are riso printed and then mounted on cardboard. Femja Haack has in this exhibition the flower as a motif and printed the photograhs with screen printning on silk organza and paper.
The exhibition is in Magasinet Skælskør in collaboration with Skælskør Kunstforening from May 10 to June 2.
